This blog uses a service called Mailchimp to mail copies of new posts to persons that have previously subscribed to receive them. To be able to do this, Mailchimp stores a copy of the subscribers’ names and email addresses in accordance with it’s Privacy Policy and Terms.
As many of you may be aware, this May 25th is the day that the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) goes into effect.
GDPR requires that we obtain explicit consent from both new and existing subscribers in order to have Mailchimp store this personally-identifying information on our behalf. Note that we (Security Architects Partners) make no use of the information other than to send you our blog posts through Mailchimp, and that we have chosen to use GDPR as our standard for all subscriptions on this web site.
If you are an existing subscriber, you will receive this blog post in a message. Shortly thereafter, we will perform a bulk unsubscribe in Mailchimp.
