All too often users run off after next shiny technology object, bolt on some security protections, and never think about audit. Then the controls get turned off, too many users have privileged access, and hackers are hiding in plain sight.
Are organizations with Office 365 backed by Azure Active Directory (AD) making this mistake? Maybe, but yours doesn’t have to be one of them. There is good news but – you guessed it – bad news as well:
- GOOD NEWS: Azure AD is a managed service and therefore easier to protect than its ancestral premise-based AD.
- BAD NEWS: Hybrid typologies expand the attack surface and – if they are connected – multiply the attack paths.
